Don's Cleaner in Chicago, Illinois

It took over a month to get my piece and it still wasn't right. It was simple. I needed a dress altered to shorten the straps to cover the bra I was going to wear in my sisters wedding. I picked it up and when I tried it on it didn't appear altered at all. I brought it back and they were very willing to redo it. Great! I came back a week later, and it was the same. A week later, I came back and they told me I had to go to the other location to pick up the dress, but they were closing in 25 minutes and the other location is more than a 25 minute transit away if you don't have a car (like most people in Chicago). Instead, they had me wait an hour and a half on the street for it to be brought over only for it to be wrong again. Before I waited for 90 minutes for this dress (the worker had to get home, children, and needed to close the shop), I asked if I could get my money back if it still wasn't right. She ensured me that it would be no problem. If the dress isn't right, they will return my money. Well, I waited out on their curb and accepted the dress out of a van on the street....for nothing. So....would I go back to Don's Cleaners? No. I don't try to make a habit of paying for services that aren't provided.
