An Illinois economic-development executive is touting no less than six industries to international investors at an investment summit this week. Daniel Seals, CEO of Intersect Illinois, is doing that work at a time when Chicago's corporate narrative is being shaped by examples of high-profile company exits and concerns about crime. The event is the annual SelectUSA Investment Summit. Seals said he's spoken to chemical and solar-manufacturing companies as well as semiconductor suppliers about having an Illinois presence.
